I think the picture says it all here but.....
David Hayes was just holding his granddaughter’s new pink Barbie rod and reel while she went to the bathroom.
He didn’t expect to catch anything with it.
But he did.
In fact he landed the biggest channel catfish on record in North Carolina.
The fish weighed 21 pounds and one ounce and at 32 inches, was two inches longer than the rod. Want the rest of the article?
