New Weakfish regulations for New Jersey
Ken Moran from the New York Post mentioned in his column this morning that the NJ DEP announced changes in the weakfish regulations ..."Effective immediately, the possession limit will be reduced from the
current eight fish to six fish, while the size limit will remain at 13
inches. The change also establishes a coastwide commercial landings
limit of approximately 3.7 million pounds."
I for one have not even seen a weakfish in 2 years. I used to catch them all the time on the sand beached of Long Island. Lets hope this helps the fish make a comeback.
