We get many hits on this site from people searching for Carrot Stix from e21. I wrote about them back in July after they took best in show at iCast. The other day I sent them an email asking for some of their product to review.
Not all fishing guides and charter captains are created equal. Price, while important of course, is probably not the main consideration when booking a guide as most fishermen would spend any amount if they knew they would catch fish. Knowledge of where the fish will be in any given condition is probably most important followed by personality. There is nothing more disappointing than paying $700+ and not catching fish. A good personality can at least ease the pain. I am working on a list of the best guides in the U.S. and would love any recommendations from our readers. If you fish from the surf on the East Coast and don't know the name Zeno Hromin you should. His book, The Art of Surfcasting with Lures is due out in December. Based on the free articles found on his website this book is a must buy, must read. I'm hoping to get it as soon as it becomes available and will post a review here as well as where you can buy it. (It's self published so no Amazon).
