Book review: Learn to read the water you fish

If you fish from the shore whether it be fly or spin it's important to understand how to read the water. Lou Tabory's book Inshore Fly Fishing will help give you a much needed edge towards catching more fish. In the last few months I have taken several people out fishing who have never fished from a beach. I obviously want my guests to catch fish no matter what so I am forced to be on my game. Over the years by reading books like Lou's plus lots of time on the water I have learned how to read all types of water which helps me (and my guests) catch more fish. I think the author is selling himself short by marketing this book to just fly fishermen. This is a valuable read for anyone who fishes saltwater from shore.
