6/2 2:45AM I fished the same East Hampton outlet again this morning figuring that I would use the knowledge gained from the night before and start catching right away. I was wrong. There were fish popping when I got down to the spot but not nearly as many. Maybe because the moon was brighter or the fact the the tide was barely moving or that it was flat calm. I think it's probably a combination of all three. I fished there for about an hour and only managed one fish before heading to a new spot someone had told me about the day before. When I got to the new spot (also in the Devon YC area) I was excited about the possibility of some big fish. I took a few casts but then realized that I forgot my fly box. Fortunately this spot is near to the parking lot where I parked may car. Back at the car I decided to change locations again as I wanted to hit the spot from the day before as I knew there were big fish there. Unfortunately, I locked my keys in the car but only had to wait 10 min before EH police came and opened it with a slim jim and I was on my way again. I was joined by Capt. Paul Dixon for a few hours and we had a tough go at it, as again the fish would not eat. So another long night of fishing with only one fish to show for it. Ughhh.
